ABSTRACT
One of the most interesting effects of schizophrenia is word slippage, or loose thought associations that follow a lateral, rather than linear pattern. For example, a person suffering from this type of word slippage would make the same associations between a plastic horse, and a horse literally covered in plastic. Societal conventions usually don't factor into these loose thought asoociations, like for example, how it may be inhumane to cover a horse in a layer of plastic. The image to the right is generated by Java code, and if this was mentioned to an individual having a schizophrenic episode, they may hallucinate the code when hearing "code-generated image".
